The Dow Event Center

Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra
Formed in 1935, this community based orchestra offers a full range of concerts and performances of music of artistic excellence.

On the campus of Saginaw Valley State University, it perpetuates the artistic intent of Marshall M. Fredericks to "inspire and give happiness."

Castle Museum of Saginaw County History
This 100+ year old French Castle house both local history and traveling exhibits.

Mid-Michigan Children's Muesum
Grand Opening Spring 2008.  Fun, Hands-on place where children can use their curiosity and creativity to lear about their world.

Saginaw Railway Museum
Depot, railroad tower, trackage, diesel locomotive, three historic cabooses, and two boxcars. Limited hours.

Michigan's Own Military & Space Museum
Exists to "nurture the memories" of people from Michigan farms, offices and factories who heeded the summons to military service during America's six foreign wars.

Hoyt Public Library
This heavy Romanesque exterior, with large limestone blocks and red sandstone trim has an excellent Children's Library and large Historic/Genealogy research facility.

Andersen Memorial Garden, and is in the middle of the Celebration Square park area. Hoyt Park In the summertime, Hoyt Park has 6 softball fields and is a popular place to walk, run, or bike. In the winter, it has a sledding hill. Ojibway Island Park Saginaw has its own island---and it's a shady, wonderful place for concerts, riverside walks, biking, picnics and family activities. Saginaw River and Riverwalk
Home of the Shiver on the River walleye contest, the Saginaw River and tributaries are world-class walleye waters. Trophy-sized fish are taken each winter through the ice and early in the spring. Along the banks of the 21-mile long Saginaw River is also a three-mile, hard-surfaced riverwalk that is great for hiking, biking or just easy strolls along rolling, shady parklands.

Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge
It is one of the largest (92,000+ acres) and most productive ecosystems in Michigan. Four rivers meet on the refuge - the Tittabawassee, Flint, Cass, and Shiawassee.
